The Artist Block
I've really hit a wall in my artwork, its extremely hard to focus and set my priorities. The effects of my personal life have really begun to take its toll and my concentration is running at a bare minimum, the stress of school hasn't helped much either. If I can't break this wall down I'm going to find myself far behind with a long way to go to catch up.
Peripeteia
I've currently been working on a theme called "Peripeteia," which is the reversal of fortune, for better or worse, for the protagonist of a story. I was inspired by the Greek tragedy of "Oedipus," for though the character's tried to change their fate, sometimes events in your life are uncontrolled and you don't know their effect until much later in life. The theme will consist of six to ten images that will portray my life in such a similar manner as a Greek tragedy, with the hopes of capturing raw emotions of grief, anger, fear, and love.
